Power supplies your battery and your machines. Driving and gathering drain your POWER gauge.

Charge and standby

Hold CHARGE while standing still beside the rocket or a charged Energy Capacitor to refill your gauge. The rocket slowly replenishes its own stored charge in daylight. Use STANDBY within reach of the rocket or a capacitor to wait until a chosen hour or until morning. Crops can grow and the drone can arrive when morning starts. Once online, Buddy can share his charge when yours runs low.

The grid

Machines use power generated by their network or stored in its capacitors. A source within reach can connect directly to a machine. The Wind Turbine changes its output with the wind. Buddy teaches its recipe after his hut is finished.

Full-game equipment

FULL

  • A Solar Generator makes power while the sun is up.
  • A Geothermal Plant produces power day and night. It must stand on an unused vent.
  • A Pylon extends the reach of the power network.
  • An Energy Capacitor stores surplus power. You can use it to charge your own battery.

The Generator teaches solar generators, capacitors and pylons when repaired. His geothermal recipe requires an expanded hut. The Composter runs without power. See Machines and crafting and Getting started.
