'''Getting started''' includes repairing Buddy and collecting your tools.

You start beside your rocket. Buddy is offline next to the landing pad. Open the journal's REQUESTS tab for the guide tasks, beginning with REPAIR BUDDY. Later robot-finding tasks give a compass direction from the referring robot's hut.

== Repair Buddy and take the tools ==
Hold the action button beside Buddy to turn him upright, then share your charge until he is online. You can collect the tools before repairing him. The toolkit crate by the rocket holds five field tools: the [[Axe]], the [[Pickaxe]], the [[Shovel]], the [[Hoe]] and the [[Water Bucket]]. You already carry the [[Scanner]].

== Follow the guide tasks ==
The guide tasks include:
* Scan something.
* Gather 30 items.
* Clear one piece of debris.
* Build [[Buddy's Hut]].
* Make a battery.
* Find and repair another robot.

== Days and power ==
The sun sets and rises as time passes. Driving and gathering drain your POWER gauge. Hold CHARGE while standing still beside the rocket to refill it. Use STANDBY there to wait until morning.
