The demo and full game include different robots and recipes.

The demo
The demo offers one new planet per calendar day, with its seed taken from the date. Each planet has its own save. You can load saves from earlier days. The title screen shows DEMO after the version number.

You can repair Buddy and five other robots: the twins, the Mechanic, the Scout, the Hauler and the Excavator. The landing crate holds Wheat, Melon, Carrot and Radish seeds. The ship's crop requests are limited to wheat, carrot and radish, but it can also request materials and fruit. The journal opens with MILESTONES and REQUESTS. Each day's planet has a 50% chance of having no quirk. Otherwise, it has one of Long day, Long night or High wind.

Only in the full game
Full
You can go Fishing with recipes from the Angler and donate exhibits at the Archive with the Archivist. Geodes, houses and the Town Square are also limited to the full game. Additional robots teach recipes for more power equipment, paving, seeds, ceramics and furniture. See Planets and quirks, Fishing and The Archive.
